Congratulations to the couragous, creative, persistent people of Bil'in and their Israeli and international supporters!

How wonderful to have Emad Bornat, who has tirelessly documented the Bil'in struggle, on a speaking tour in the United States at this victorious time. Maybe we can throw him a party to celebrate when he comes to Ithaca.

I hope that ultimately the Wall/Fence will ultimately be dismantled and the illegal and repressive military occupations of the West Bank and Gaza will end.

In solidarity,
Beth

While this is great news and a testament to the dogged determination of the non-violent resistance in Bil'in, I wonder how the Israeli Defense Ministry intends to respect the ruling, as they have vowed to do, and who determines what is a 'reasonable' time for a re-route of the wall, and what the re-route will actually be. Non-violent struggle brought things this far and more struggle will certainly be needed.

What should come to the fore will be the issue of land annexation and realestate dealings that the wall has made possible. One of Emad Bornatr's recent videos dealt with this. I am hoping that someone will post an informative article on this topic.
